PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator using an explosion-proof case of electric parts with contacts, easy to machine and low in material cost. SOLUTION: A thermostat 20 is enclosed in a storage case comprising an upper case 18 and a lower case 17. Even if an inflammable refrigerant leaks and a small quantity enters the storage case to close the contact of the thermostat 20 to cause ignition, a fire does not start even if pressure escapes to the outside of the storage case from a slit 39 formed in a cover body 38 for covering an opening 37 of the upper case 18. A slit 45 extending to a disk part 43 is cut in an arc center part of a peripheral wall forming a fitting recess 40 of a fitting part 41 of an adjusting operation lever 19. Consequently, even if the contact of the thermostat 20 is closed to cause ignition, a fire does not start even if pressure escapes to the outside of the storage case from the slit 45 through a slight clearance between the disk part 43 and a side face of the lower case 17.
