PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visco-elastic damper capable of coping with displacement of any direction and type of two members intersecting with each other such as a pillar 1 and a beam 2 when being vibrated in earthquake or the like, and surely exercising its damping function at all times regardless of direction and type of the displacement. SOLUTION: Arms 7, 8 are rotatably journaled to two members 1, 2 intersecting with each other, and further the arms 7, 8 are rotatably connected through a visco-elastic body. Face members 9, 10, or a cylindrical body 15 and a shaft body 16 are fixed to the arms 7, 8, and the visco-elastic body may be mounted therebetween. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
