PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat fluorescent lamp and its manufacturing method and display device provided with the lamp which has an improvement in the brightness of the lamp and a reduction in the power consumption. SOLUTION: The flat fluorescent lamp comprises a main body having a discharge space formed divided into a plurality of spaces, a pair of electrodes including an electron transfer electrode for transferring electrons by a voltage applied from outside, wherein the pair of electrodes is placed separated on the inside plane of the main body as intersecting the respective discharge spaces, electron emission members each are placed on the electron transfer electrodes to activate the emission of electrons in the discharge spaces, and light emission part for emitting visible light by the electrons emitted. Thus, the brightness of the light emitted from the flat fluorescent lamp is increased, and a large amount of power consumption is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
