PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip forming machine which can form a pair of electrode chips having superior accuracy at front end surfaces including corner parts of edges without being detached from a welding gun. SOLUTION: A chip forming machine is provided with a pair of forming rollers 36 which are placed side by side along the approaching direction of a pair of electrode chips 6, and are supported respectively by a holder 34 so as to be rotated by a support shaft 40 perpendicular to the approaching direction. The holder 34 is rotated around the axis of a pair of approaching chips 6. The pair of rollers 36 have such a shape that the projective shape of the rollers in the direction perpendicular to the support shaft 40 has a concave groove 36c corresponding to the outward shape of the front end of a formed chip, so that when the pair of rollers 36 are pressed against the pair of electrode chips 6 while being rotated with the holder, each chip 6 is formed to be usable. Furthermore, each roller 36 is comprised of divided bodies 38 divided in half along the axial direction.
