The inventive device consists of a body (C) for inserting a rope loop. A friction bar (8) which is arranged outside the body in the ear of the loop and prevents the exit thereof. Ports (3) make it possible to pass a snap hook through the body and a handle (13). Tension applied between the rope and said snap hook presses and locks the rope against the base of the system. Tension acting on the handle can release clamping by the pressure of the lever on pins (15). The mobility of the friction bar (8) and the shape of the body base make it possible to automatically adapt the device to any single or double rope diameter.
