<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jellyfish disposal device and disposal method, enabling an efficient treatment of jellyfishes in seawater pumped up as cooling water at a power plant or the like as well as aiming at malodor prevention. <P>SOLUTION: The jellyfish disposal device has a sheet-like filter body and a water receiver pit arranged below the sheet-like filter body, and is provided with a jellyfish-dissolving portion where water produced by the dissolution of jellyfishes supplied to an upper surface of the sheet-like filter body is collected in the water receiver pit, and the dirt supplied with jellyfishes is filtered and separated on the sheet-like filter body, an aerating tank introducing the water of the water receiver pit to aerate, a floatation equipment adding a flocculant to the aerated water to perform the floatation of the produced flocculation floc, and an activated carbon packed tower contacting the flocculation-treated water flowing out from the floatation equipment, with the activated carbon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
