OPTICAL COMPENSATION SHEET, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME AND POLARIZATION PLATE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY USING THE SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new optical compensation sheet having an excellent optical compensation function, and a wide viewing angle enlargement performance when the sheet is applied to an image display.

SOLUTION: The optical compensation sheet has a transparent supporting body and an optical anisotropic layer including a liquid crystal compound fixed in a hybrid orientation on the supporting body and nitrogen atoms/carbon atoms is smaller than 0.1 on the surface on the air boundary side of the optical anisotropic layer, and fluorine atoms/carbon atoms is 0.1 or larger.
