<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical compensation sheet which contributes enlargement of viewing field angle and color change in color display of an image display device and hardly causes wavelength dispersion of retardation value. <P>SOLUTION: The optical compensation sheet has an optical anisotropic layer comprising a discotic liquid crystal compound and at least two kinds of compounds having hydrogen bonding group selected from general formula (II) or (III). In the formula (II), R<SP>6</SP>, R<SP>7</SP>and R<SP>8</SP>respectively denote substituents which are preferably equal to or different from one another. In the formula (III), Ar denotes substituted or non-substituted allyl group, or substituted or non-substituted heterocyclic group, T denotes single bonding or bivalent connection group, (p) denotes an integer of 1 to 10, J denotes -COOM or -SO<SB>3</SB>M and M denotes H, Li, Na or K. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
