<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain desired process time management by reducing the number of program steps and man-hours. <P>SOLUTION: In this process time management method and device of a processing line for controlling various facilities and equipment by a series of processes, and for setting a transfer time required for inter-process transfer in the execution of each process, and for transferring the process to a target process, a computer which executes a series of process control calculates a process transfer time required since the execution of the current process to the execution of an arbitrary process by the absolute value arithmetic operation of the difference of the absolute time of the both processes by defining only a time required for the transfer of the adjacent respective processes as absolute time t<SB>1</SB>to t<SB>7</SB>, and additionally arranging them on one-dimensional axis.
