PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire excellent in operation stability at on-road while having an image of a tread patter with high off-road performance on appearance. SOLUTION: A plurality of lug grooves 4 and 5 of a lengthy shape provided on a tread surface 1 are provided on both sides of virtual ridge line 11 for connecting ridge lines 4b and 5a at one end in a longitudinal direction of the lug groove each other while offset each other in the virtual ridge line direction. Each groove width w of the lug grooves 4 and 5 is enlarged toward the ridge lines 4b and 5a and on bottom surfaces 21 and 24 of the lug grooves 4 and 5, inclined surfaces 20 and 23 inclined in a taper-shape from the ridge lines 4b and 5a toward the bottom surface 21 and 24 of the lug grooves 4 and 5 are formed.
