PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized digital camera though having a large capacitor with a large capacity. SOLUTION: The digital camera 7 comprises a lens optical system 5 for taking in a light flux from a subject; a battery box 9 arranged to the left side of the lens optical system 5 when the lens optical system 5 is viewed from a subject side; a main capacitor 11 arranged between the lens optical system 5 and the battery box 9; and a case 33 for storing the lens optical system 5, the battery box 9, and the main capacitor 11. The long axis of the main capacitor 11 projected on a plane, which is substantially orthogonally crossed with the light axis of the lens optical system 5, is arranged by inclination relative to the long axis of the battery box 9 projected on the plane.
