PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a programmable controller capable of facilitating examination of sequence programs. SOLUTION: When ladder diagrams of sequence programs are displayed, ladder diagrams of a main program and sub-programs in an executing state are displayed at a normal luminance (202, 203, 204 and 211). Ladder diagrams of sub-programs in a non-executing state are displayed at a low luminance (205). According to this, when the ladder diagrams are displayed, whether the sub-programs are executed or not can be easily determined, and the examination of the sequence programs can be easily performed.
