PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starting method for guaranteeing secure start even when an internal combustion engine starts in a cold condition at low temperatures. SOLUTION: In this starting method for the internal combustion engine provided with a fuel injection device, a scale for fuel pressure is detected and is compared with a threshold value, and fuel injection is dispersed into a plurality of injection pulses when the scale for fuel pressure is below the threshold value.
