The installation has a pulley system which pulls a clearing body (1), open at the bottom, over the surface of the roof. The wedge shape of the clearing part means the snow is pushed down only when it is pulled down. The continuous cable (3) runs between a deflection turn next to the operator at ground level and a roller which runs on a further roller to a horizontal gable cable, in order to position the clearing part laterally.
