A method of processing the failure between the Egress LSR and the data equipment connected therewith comprises: after the Egress LSR has detected that the master link of the outlet side connecting therewith has a failure, it transmits the failure information to the Ingress LSR; the Ingress LSR adjusts the transmission of the traffic flow according to the received failure information. The present invention can transmit the traffic flow through the stand-by link when the network has a stand-by link of the outlet side in order to assure that the traffic flow can be transmitted to the data equipment of the outlet side,and transmit no traffic flow when the network has not a stand-by link of the outlet side in order to avoid the waste of the network resource.
