<p>A chain cover installed on lines of roller chains, arranged side by side, to collectively cover the upper part and the opposed ends of each of the roller chains and, at the same time, creating flat load-conveyance surfaces between the roller chains to form a slat conveyor that is lower in cost than a roller conveyer and is excellent in conveyance stability. A chain cover (1) has side covers (3) each with shaft holes (5) in which the end sections of a connection pin (22) of a roller chain (21) are engaged; two top covers (2), the length (L) of which each top cover (2) is substantially equal to a chain pitch; and a connection plate (4) for connecting the adjacent top covers (2, 2) to each other. In the chain cover (1), the side covers (3) at its both ends each have a convex circular arc front edge (7) co-centric with the shaft holes (5) and have a concave circular arc rear edge (8) made to correspond to the front edge. The connection plate (4) and the two top covers (2, 2) integrally form a slat.</p> |
