<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security lighting setup effective on reduction of insecurity feeling of pedestrians and arrestation of crimes. <P>SOLUTION: With overlapping adjacent human body detection ranges B, when a pedestrian M moves left to right and enters the human body detection range B of a most near side lighting system 3<SB>1</SB>, the human body detection sensor 12 of the lighting system 3<SB>1</SB>detects the pedestrian M. By this detection, an illuminance control unit 13 controls the illuminance of a light source 10 through a lighting section 11 so as to vary from a low illuminance to a high illuminance. When the pedestrian M passes through the position of the lighting system 3<SB>1</SB>and moves to a position X in a human body detection range B of a human body detection sensor 12 of the next lighting system 3<SB>2</SB>, the human body detection sensor 12 of the lighting system 3<SB>2</SB>detects the pedestrian M.
