PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably reduce gear noise with a simple constitution without improving dimensional accuracy and built-in accuracy. SOLUTION: This gear mechanism is provided with a driving gear 5 rotated by a driving means, a driven gear 6 rotated in interlocking with the driving gear 5 by being engaged with the driving gear 5, and stepped screws 8, 9 for mounting the driving gear 5 movably to a position slightly decenterable from a center of the rotation of the driving gear 5 with respect to a sub-chassis 2. As the whole base 7 is moved to the direction separated from the driven gear 6 by flipping movement caused by collision of teeth when the driving gear 5 and the driven gear 6 are rotated in a state that their teeth are engaged with each other, thus a contact ratio of the first gear and the second gear is reduced, and gear noise can be reduced.
