PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque converter capable of being miniaturized and improved in acceleration feeling in a low speed ratio area (in starting vehicle). SOLUTION: This torque converter 1 comprises a pump 20 having a pump blade 21 mounted between an outer shell 22 and an inner core 23, a turbine 30 having a turbine blade 31, and a stator 40. An outlet angle of the pump blade 21 is more than -90°from a point where the pump blade 21 and the outer shell 22 are kept into contact with each other to a point where the pump blade 21 and the inner core 23 are kept into contact with each other.
