摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assembling a drive system for a ship capable of estimating and avoiding undesirable torsional vibration of the drive system and to provide a propulsion device for a ship capable of coping with a situation with adjustment without replacing parts with other parts in case that torsional vibration and noise is out of tolerance in trial operation. SOLUTION: Criteria of torsional vibration of a shaft system of the drive system for the ship is established based on a torsional spring constant of a propeller shaft and a inertia moment of a propeller and shaft system components are selected and assembled based on the criteria. The drive system for the ship is provided with a flywheel 2, a reduction and reverse gear 4 a for a ship, and a elastic joint 3 of which characteristics can be changed and which is put between a reduction and reverse gear input shaft 6 for a ship and the flywheel 2.
