PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain reduction in injection fuel; to promote atomization of the injection fuel; and to stabilize spray forms, by reducing a pressure loss in fuel, by preventing generation of a vortex when reversing the fuel in an outlet hole of a valve seat member, in a fuel injection valve. SOLUTION: In this fuel injection valve, a flat fuel diffusing chamber 36 for guiding the fuel to a plurality of fuel nozzle ports 11 by diffusing the fuel outward in the radial direction, is arranged between opposed surfaces of a valve seat member 3 and an injector plate 10, while arranging a funnel-shaped fuel gathering recessed part 35 between a valve seat 8 and the outlet hole 7. A valve element 18 forms a spherical belt-like seating part 16a, and a valve tip part 16b projecting in a conical shape toward the center of the outlet hole 7 from its part and leaving a top part in the outlet hole 7 even when opening the valve element 18. A conical angleαof its valve tip part 16b is set larger than a funnel angleβof the fuel gathering recessed part 35. An inner peripheral surface 7A of the outlet hole 7 is formed along an inner peripheral side curved surface of a virtual torus T so that this surface continues with a bottom surface of the fuel gathering recessed part 35 and a ceiling surface of the fuel diffusing chamber 36.
