PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature regulator capable of measuring a sample stored in a micro plate while heating or heat-retaining the sample efficiently. SOLUTION: This temperature regulator is provided with a container 3 having a sample vessel with at least one portion of a bottom face comprising a translucent material, and for holding the sample containing an aqueous solution in the sample vessel, a temperature control member 2 having a protruded part corresponding to a shape of the sample vessel, and a controller 10 for controlling a temperature of the temperature control member, and a temperature of the sample stored in the sample vessel is controlled by the protruded part of the temperature control member.
