PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature sensor high in reliability and coping with the thinning of welding parts or the miniaturization of temperature sensors. SOLUTION: The MI (mineral insulated) cable 10 provided with a pair of conductors 12 insulated with insulation powder 13 extending along in the direction of the axis O in a protector tube 11, is fixed with a thermistor element at its tip. At the end of the MI cable 10 a metal cap 3 is provided and in the metal cap 3 the thermistor is housed. At the overlapping part 8 of the protector tube 11 of the MI cable 10 the metal cap 3 is caulked while forming the caulked part 8b. Thereafter, from the outer periphery of the rear end of the MI cable 10 to the obliquely front axis line O, the laser beam is emitted and the welded part 8a is formed. Consequently, at the welded part 8a, the melting direction is slanted in a different angle from the perpendicular direction to the axis O direction of the MI cable 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
