PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent various problems following the meandering of a belt by suppressing the laterally moved amount of the belt required for the belt to come into a stable transport state even if the belt meanders due to disturbance. SOLUTION: In this belt transport device 9, the endless belt 1 is stretched across a plurality of tension rolls 2 and the belt 1 is circulatingly transported. The belt transport device comprises a guide member 3 installed near the belt 1 and allowing a belt end ear part 4 protruded from one ends of the tension rolls 2 to come into contact therewith, and restricting the shape and attitude of the belt end ear part 4 and a guide movable means 5 capable of changing the disposed position of the guide member 3 so as to suppress the lateral moving operation of the belt 1 according to the meandering state of the belt 1.
