PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power for driving a suction or air-feed blower while automatically regulating the suction pressure due to a blower or the pressurization force of an airtight chamber to a proper value. SOLUTION: A plurality of grooves 16 having suction holes 15 are provided to the outer peripheral surface of a lower corrugating roll 12 being one corrugating roll and the core paper 1 transferring along the outer peripheral surface of the lower corrugating roll 12 is closely brought into contact with the outer peripheral surface by the suction force for sucking the air in the lower corrugating roll 12 made hollow from piping 17a by the blower 18a to manufacture the single-sided corrugated cardboard. In this manufacturing method, the width dimension W and basis weight G of the core paper 1 are used as parameters to set the target value of the suction pressure due to the blower 18a detected by a pressure sensor 22 and the number of rotations of the AC variable speed motor 19a for driving the blower 18a is changed by an inverter 21 to perform feedback control so that the suction pressure becomes the target value not only to reduce the driving power of the blower 18a but also to regulate the suction pressure to the proper value automatically.
