Process for production of caesium salt

Process for producing caesium salt comprises treating of caesium salt with slaked lime or calcium carbonate and acid to produce a caesium salt of said acid, wherein undissolved solid comprises aluminium hydroxide and the caesium salt includes calcium ions and sulphate ions as impurities; b) the dissolved caesium salt solution is separated from the undissolved solid and c) barium hydroxide is added to the solution of caesium salt containing said impurities in an amount sufficient to precipitate sulphate ions to provide the caesium salt with less then 1000 mg/l of sulphate ion.
