<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relatively easily put images obtained by a digital still camera or the like in order. <P>SOLUTION: An image storage device is connected to the digital still camera (step 71) and the serial ID and product ID of the camera are acquired (step 72). An image file is read from the camera (step 73). When a camera folder corresponding to the connected camera has been generated (step 74: YES), the read image file is stored in the folder. When the camera folder has not been generated (step 74: NO), a new folder is generated (step 76) and the read image file is stored in the generated folder (step 77).
