<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of efficiently exhausting heat emitted from a fixing device, even when there is intereference between arrangement position of the detection means of recording paper provided to a reverse path and the arrangement position of a fan. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus constituted of an apparatus housing; an image formation part which transfers a toner image according to image data to recording paper; the reverse path for conveying the recording paper to the image forming part again, when a recording image is formed on both sides of the recording paper; a lever which is rotated, when the tip of the recording paper to be conveyed to the reverse path passes; and a detection means for detecting the rotation of the lever and a fan which exhausts heat generated in the apparatus housing to the outside of the apparatus housing, the lever is arranged between the fixing device and the fan and in the exhaust path, and the detection means is arranged outside the exhaust path of the fan. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
