<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image quality and to miniaturize an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a drive part, an image carrier, an exposure device, a developer carrier for developing electrostatic latent images and forming developer images, a transfer device for transferring the developer images to a medium, and a rotating body disposed at a part separated from the image carrier to be rotated by driving the drive part. While the surface of the image carrier is moved from the exposure device to the transfer device, the rotating body is rotated roughly for the integer number of times. Since the rotating body is rotated roughly for the integer number of times while the surface of the image carrier is moved from the exposure device to the transfer device, even when the speed of the image carrier fluctuates accompanying the load fluctuation of the rotating body, a position deviation by the rotation cycle of the rotating body is offset. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
