<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a billing information management device for managing billing information about an imaging device to detect any abnormal values of billing information in advance and thereby increase the reliability of the billing information by being able to confirm, if any, damage to billing information data based upon other information. <P>SOLUTION: A host device 20 receives billing counter information and toner consumption information from the imaging device 10. The CPU 21 of the host device 20 calculates a bill based on the billing counter information. The CPU also calculates a bill based on the toner consumption information. If a difference between the bill calculated on the basis of the billing counter information and the bill calculated on the basis of the toner consumption information is within a specific range, the billing information is determined to be normal.
