PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dental caries-suppressing composition capable of suppressing dental caries even when taking saccharide (sugar) in the body.

SOLUTION: The dental caries-suppressing composition comprises an alginic acid decomposed product by SUN53 bacterium (accession number: NITE P-14). In the dental carries-suppressing composition, the alginic acid decomposed product is, particularly, an alginic acid decomposed product having relatively small molecule which does not precipitate in 75% ethanol.
