PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high quality fixed image by suppressing paper wrinkles, image slips, and smears. SOLUTION: A belt member is pressed against a rotating member by a pressing member to form a nip section on which a recording material passes, in a fixing unit to fix toner images carried on the recording materials.
