PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting a motile organ affection of a horse or a risk thereof, and to prevent crisis or recidivation of the affection by detecting it in a stage of inapparent tendinitis and microfrature, before the motile organ affection of the horse comes to a serious stage. SOLUTION: In this method of detecting the motile organ affection of the horse or the risk thereof, the motile organ affection of a degree unable to be determined clinically is detected by measuring a level of an I-type collargen-crosslinked N-terminal teropeptide (NTx) that is one of collargen decomposition products appearing in blood. That is, the present invention provides the method of detecting the motile organ affection of the horse or the risk thereof by measuring the level of the I-type collargen-crosslinked N-terminal teropeptide (NTx) in the blood, and a kit for detecting the motile organ affection of the horse or the risk thereof containing an anti-NTx antibody.
