PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displacement monitoring system without reducing observation precision while utilizing a signal of a satellite maximally even in the case the GPS signal passing through the bush of the forest and hence containing errors arrives. SOLUTION: At the observation point, the signal with a large positioning error among the arrival signals coming from each GPS signal e.g. the range of direction (azimuth/angle of elevation) of the signal large in error caused by the multi-path is determined. In this directional range, the bush of the forest is existing and thought to be the range that the signal arrives but the error of multi-path is large. The range is set as an inhibited range, so the signals come from this range are made to never use. While any signals come from any satellites other than this direction are used. Thereby, the number of satellites (signals) is secured in the case the satellites are at the position of good conditions without using the signals of large error. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
