RUBBER COMPOSITION AND CROSS-LINKED RUBBER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition having sufficient rubber properties without causing environmental pollution and to provide a cross-linked rubber using the rubber composition. SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises an oil and/or a plasticizer in an amount of 1-30 pts. mass based on 100 pts. mass of a resin and is characterized as comprising a resol type alkylphenol-formaldehyde co-condensate resin cross-linking agent having 85-115°C softening point. Furthermore, the cross-linked rubber is obtained by cross-linking the rubber composition. A naphthenic oil is preferable as the oil in the resin cross-linking agent and the content of the unreacted alkylphenol in the resin cross-linking agent is preferably <1%. The amount of the compounded resin cross-linking agent in the rubber composition is preferably within the range of 2-25 pts. mass based on 100 pts. mass of a rubber component.
