PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame retardant resin composition which is free from antimony compounds and yet has high flame retardance, heat resistance, thermal shock resistance and reliability and a low dielectric property. SOLUTION: The resin composition contains component (A): one or more thermoplastic resins selected from the group consisting of aromatic vinyl-based resins and polyphenylene ether-based resins as component (A-1) and/or a thermosetting resin having an aromatic structure as component (A-2), component (B): a halogenic flame retardant and component (C) at least one kind of layered silicate selected from the group consisting of montmorillonite, swelling mica and hectorite. The mixing ratios of component (A), (B) and (C) to the total of component (A), (B) and (C) are 4-99.8, 0.1-95.9 and 0.1-95.9 wt% respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
