PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent relative rotation around an axis of a flange member and a stay body and to simultaneously prevent the flange member from being easily deformed by bending moment applied at the time of collision in a bumper stay 44 comprising a rectangular plate-like flange member 41 formed with a circular hole 42 at a central part and notches 43a-43d at four portions of a periphery of the hole and a tubular stay body 45 joined to the hole. SOLUTION: The stay body is diameter-enlarged by electro-magnetic molding and is closely adhered to an inner peripheral surface of the hole, a portion projected from the hole of the flange member to a front side is enlarged to form a shaft flange 46 and a rear side is swelled to form a projection part. The flange member is clamped by the shaft flange and the projection part. In a plate surface of the flange member, the stay body is projected into the notch (projection part 49) and relative rotation of the flange member and the stay body is prevented. Since the notch is formed at a position opposed to a rectangular corner of the flange member, the flange member has high resistance force relative to bending. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
