<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium manganese-based multiple oxide powder useful as a positive electrode active material for lithium secondary cell. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium manganese-based multiple oxide powder is obtained by reacting a lithium compound, a manganese compound and one or more kinds of transition metal compounds containing a metal element selected from Fe, Ni and Co with each other in water under pressure and heating the resultant lithium manganese-based multiple oxide at 300-700°C and is expressed by general formula (1) : Li<SB>X</SB>[Mn<SB>Y</SB>Me<SB>Z</SB>]O<SB>a</SB>. In the formula, Me represents at least one or more kinds of metals selected from Fe, Ni and Co, (x) is 0.2≤x≤0.6, (y) is 0.4≤y≤0.6, (z) is 0.4≤z≤0.6 and (a) is 1.9≤a≤2.3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
