<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal apparatus which enables satisfactorily enlarged observation of character information or image information displayed on a liquid crystal panel to the extents so that an observer can satisfactorily read the character information or image information. <P>SOLUTION: This portable information terminal equipment has a beam combiner opening/closing supporting means 6 for supporting a beam combiner 2 to be openable/closeable with respect to a display part 1 and fixing the beam combiner 2 at a first predetermined angle within a range of 45°<α<90°(αis the angle formed by a virtual line L1 and a virtual line L2 in a virtual face). The beam combiner 2 has an optical power for enlarging information displayed on a display face 1a and reflecting it in the pupil E direction of an observer who is located at the side of a gripping part 3. The virtual face is a face which is orthogonal to a display face 1a of the display part 1 including a virtual line L1, and a virtual line L1 is a straight line connecting one end and the other end of the display part 1 in the virtual face and a virtual line L2 is a straight line connecting one end and the other end of the beam combiner in the virtual face. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
