<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump device capable of preventing lubricating oil in a crank case from leaking to the outside of the crank case. <P>SOLUTION: This pump device 10 is provided with the crank case 34 for storing lubricating oil, a crank shaft 38 in the vertical direction whose upper end part passes through the crank case, a bearing 40 for supporting an upper part of the crank shaft, and a seal unit 56 for preventing lubricating oil from leaking from the bearing. A first ventilation hole 62 is formed in the seal unit, a cylindrical part 50 is formed to surround the upper end part of the crank shaft, and a second ventilation hole 64 is formed in an upper part of the cylindrical part. In this configuration, since air in the crank case is discharged to the outside from the first and second ventilation holes, rise of pressure in the case is suppressed, and jetting of lubricating oil to the outside is also suppressed. Even if lubricating oil is jetted from the first ventilation hole, it is held in the cylindrical part to prevent it from leaking to the outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
