摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercharger seizure preventing device capable of securely preventing seizure of a supercharger and enhancing cost performance and usability. <P>SOLUTION: When determining that lubricating oil does not reach the supercharger based on pressure of a lubricating oil inlet of the supercharger, a nozzle opening controller 50 of the supercharger seizure preventing device controls a nozzle opening of a variable nozzle of the supercharger to 100% to increase a turbine flow rate, and suppresses increase in rotational speed of the supercharger by declining flow speed. Due to this, even if engine speed is increased immediately after start of the engine, no seizure of the supercharger is generated. Since there is no possibility of seizure of the supercharger and engine speed can be increased, time required for warming up can be shortened. Moreover, since a mechanism for driving the variable nozzle and the nozzle opening controller 50 are constitutions normally provided in a variable turbo, there is no concern about complication of the structure and drastic cost increase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p>
