PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system and an installation control method for properly executing various processing necessary for the update of software components. SOLUTION: This MF system 100 is mounted with a plurality of software components for realizing a service related with information processing, and provided with a component installer 130 for acquiring a CAR file including the software components and the relevant information of the software components, and for controlling the installation of the software components to be performed based on the relevant information.
