PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system and an information processing method for properly performing communication between software components. SOLUTION: This MF system 100 in which a plurality of software components A to N for realizing a service related with information processing are mounted is provided with a component communication mechanism 150 for acquiring an IF module for start and an IF module for reply for specifying a relation between software components, and for controlling bi-directional communication between software components based on the IF module for start and the IF module for reply.
