PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve interpolation precision in an interpolation circuit by removing harmonic components. SOLUTION: A parameter detection part 40 determines parameters of a figure most approximate to Lissajous waveforms of two-phase sinusoidal signals A1 and B1 and based on considerations to tertiary harmonics by a nonlinear least square method. A correction part 30 uses the determined parameters to correct the signals A1 and B1 to acquire signals A2 and B2 from which offset errors, amplitude errors, phase errors, and tertiary harmonic components are removed.
