PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly precise electronic balance which corrects hysteresis errors. SOLUTION: The electronic force balance is provided internally with weights A and B for calibration; a weight additing and removing device 15 for separately adding the weights A and B onto and removing them from weight receivers 13A and 13B; and an arithmetic and control part 3 for storing and executing both calibration program for performing calibration by controlling the weight addition and removal device 15, and an arithmetic processing program for converting weight detection signals from a load detector 2 into weight values and storing them. After a load has been set to 0 at calibration, the load of the weights A and B is sequentially added, and then the load of the weights B and A is sequentially reduced to update and store the measured value in each state. Amounts H0 and Ha of hysteresis at a load 0 and a load A are computed, to derive a quadratic equation passing through amounts H0, Ha, and 0 of hysteresis at the load 0, the load A, and the load A + the load B. An amount Hn of hysteresis at an arbitrary load is computed on the basis of the quadratic equation. The amount Hn of hysteresis is added to a measured value to correct hysteresis errors.
