PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulin pharmaceutical preparation suitable for inhalation in lower respiratory tracts as an insulin administration dosage form except injection. SOLUTION: This dry powder pharmaceutical preparation for lower respiratory tract inhalation comprises fine particles whose at least 50% have diameters of≤10μm and are obtained by preparing a solution composed of insulin, a substance for reinforcing the absorption of the insulin in the lower respiratory tract, and a 10 to 14C fatty acid salt especially such as sodium caprate, removing a solvent to obtain the solid product, and then crushing and/or mixing the solid product.
