PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ultrasonic diagnostic equipment which allows an operator to determine a correction direction of a puncture needle easily when carrying out a puncture referring to a three-dimensional ultrasonic image, such as a three-dimensional image, cross-sectional images of a plurality of directions, or the like. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic equipment used for inserting a puncture needle N to an object position has a probe 1 having an indicator that indicates a direction. The probe transmits or receives an ultrasonic wave, and the ultrasonic diagnostic equipment recomposes a three-dimensional ultrasonic image containing the object position and the puncture needle on A, B or C cross-section on the basis of a received signal. The ultrasonic diagnostic equipment then displays the three-dimensional ultrasonic image and direction indicating information corresponding to the indicator. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
