The method involves bringing a platform (13) from a non-usage position in a entry and exit area of a vehicle into a flat, horizontal or easily bending usage position. The platform is brought from the non-usage to the usage positions or vice versa by swiveling around a vertical axis (15) and afterwards around a horizontal axis (16). A transverse side of the platform is supported in a fixed part of an entry or exit in the usage position. An independent claim is also included for a device for easing entry and exit into/from a vehicle.
