The sleeve has a screw joint (39) for clamping housing parts together to press strands (40) of a stub cable (37) against outer sides of contact segments (16), so that the segments are pressed against outer sides of strands (41) of a main cable (35). The segments include contact teeth, which penetrate through the insulation of the strands of the main and stub cables to connect the strands of the cables, upon clamping the parts.
