The component has a liquid-proof surface area inside a housing and provided with a lubricant, oil or grease-proof coating, where the surface is lipophobic and/or hydrophobic, where the component is an electric motor (1). The surface can be provided on plastic and metallic areas. The surface comprises a craggy structure within a range of 5 to 250 meters. The structure is manufactured by sand blasting, molding and/or etching. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a drive component.
